Culture Artist Newsletter June 2008

Culture Artist Welcomes the Lone Star Iconoclast!

The Culture Artist newspaper column is now available in Lone Star Iconoclast, in George Bush’s hometown of Crawford, Texas. The Lone Star Iconoclast is available online at: http://www.lonestaricon.com.

Welcome aboard!

 News and Notes

Sorry about the hiatus, folks. You’re probably wondering why you’re getting the June newsletter in August…the truth is that the last two months have been extremely busy! I just graduated Saturday, August 2, with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, so the last two months have been busy, cramming everything into the last few classes. I’ll try to get caught up over the next few weeks as my schedule lightens up a bit.

Progress Notes on the Culture Artist Sustainable Community

The community has been put on hold for a while, as I’ve been focusing on my school work, but now I’m back in full swing and able to devote more time to the venture.

I’d like to get a head count of all of you newsletter subscribers who might be interested in the community. Note that at this time all I’m asking for is a head count…just send an email saying that you’re interested. This email won’t commit you to anything. I’m just trying to find out if there’s enough interest to make it a going concern.

At any rate, the counseling center at the community will eventually offer workshops through the Tomorrow’s Light Center (TLC).

If you would be interested in conducting a workshop at TLC once it is completed, please email Chuck at chuck@cultureartist.org with your name, contact information, and title of your workshop.

Website of the Month for June 2007

Black Mountain Order was founded in 1997 by former members of Emerald Coast Grove in Pensacola, Florida. The home of the Order now resides near Black Mountain, North Carolina.

In addition to being named after Black Mountain, NC, the name 'Black Mountain' symbolizes the hidden power of the subconscious mind. According to the tenets of Black Mountain Order, the subconscious is the seat of magic.

The purpose of this site is to provide an educational resource for Druids and aspiring Druids.

If you are a practicing Druid, or if you're just curious about Druidry and other forms of Paganism, visit: www.blackmountainorder.org.

Do you have a website on sustainability or green living you’d like to see featured here? Email your suggestion to: info@cultureartist.org!

News Item of the Month

Pain Control Through Meditation - Millions of people suffer from chronic pain. The conventional treatment for these people has been drugs that can lead to chemical dependency. In such cases, the 'cure' is often worse than the problem.

There is an alternative! Pain management through meditative techniques is the number one non-medical method of pain management. My next CD will teach you proven pain management meditative techniques. Watch for this new CD at www.cultureartist.org!

We’re Looking for Land!

The Culture Artist Organization is currently seeking land for the purpose of constructing a future educational center and sustainable community. We are looking for 10 to 100 acres of land somewhere in upstate South Carolina or western North Carolina. Of course, we would prefer that the land be donated in trust, but we would also be interested in owner-financed parcels that meet the above qualifications.

If you are interested in donating or selling a parcel, please contact: info@cultureartist.org.

DISCLAIMER: You are receiving this email because you expressed an interest in the Culture Artist Newsletter, a monthly publication of www.cultureartist.org.
