Hall Family kilt
patch. The hound is a Talbot. The Latin motto, "Vive ut vivas,"
translates to, "Live so that you might live," or in
modern slang, "Party on, dude!"

Hall Family Coat
of Arms. Again the Talbot hound appears. Beneath that, the helmet
signifies knighthood, while the red banners signify that we fought
in the war of Scottish independence from England (see Braveheart).
The jagged edges of the banner represent the split from England.
The three Scottish thistles on the shield are the symbol of
Scotland. The motto, "Turpiter desperatur," means
roughly that only a desperate person would dare challenge a Hall
to combat.
